The big advantage of how the Camp Resort Bockaberg is located, is that it’s rural and in the middle of nature, and close to Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden, at the same time. Therefore, you can always alternate between appreciating and exploring nature and enjoying the city life.
Fishing at lake Uspen
Bockabergs location at the lake Uspen is very unique, as you will not be able to see a single close neighbor and the other way around. In conclusion, it is perfectly suited for fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.
The most common fish to catch is the Perch; it usually is round 30 cm long, but if you are lucky you’ll catch a monstrous fish up to 60 cm.

Go for a canoe adventure
The Camp Resort Bockaberg offers you to rent up to 17 canoes and 1 kayak. You can either start your own adventure or book us for two-day guided tour.
With a length of over 3 kilometers Uspen is suited very well for a day trip, while at same time being a great starting point for trips to Tvärsjön, a lake of similar size connected to Uspen and a wonderful unpopulated island
Ice Skating & Skiing
During the winter months, Bockaberg has as well a lot to offer. When it’s cold enough and the ice on Uspen is thick enough a ice skating track is created, on which you can cruise around the 8 kilometers of shore line.
If enough snow has fallen, you can go cross-country skiing either on the lake or the hilly surrounding area. You rent the needed equipment at Udens Skiduthyrning in Gothenberg.
There is also the option to visit Alebacken, a ski resort only 40 minutes away.

Gothenburg is only about 30 kilometer and half an hour of driving away from the Camp Resort. As it is the second largest city in Sweden, it offers lots of things to do; to name just a few: the Swedish Ship Götheborg, the UNIVERSEUM, the Gothenburg Archipelago.
Furthermore, Gothenburg is know for its modern and unique architecture. So, you will also not get bored exploring the city by foot.
